As the big brother to the 290 AS, the 340 AS offers additional length (almost 2 feet) yet its packed dimensions and weight are only slightly greater. The added amount of hull in contact with the water offers greater stability and reduces bounce in chop thereby softening the ride. With the added width (“beam”) of the 340, stability is a non-factor and allows for more gear and passengers.

The ride quality of the newly engineered hull is amazing and handles tough conditions should they arise. Unlike inflatable hulls or “roll up” dinghys, these boats efficiently cut through chop and turn confidently in windy conditions.

With the installed eyebolts in multiple places, the 340 can be quickly lifted onto the deck of a boat for storage. The real beauty of this craft is that you get the feel, strength and safety of a standard RIB (rigid inflatable boat) but still have the ability to “make it go away”. In minutes the Fore Runner can go from being an offshore craft to sitting in the provided weather-proof travel bag.
